This year I'm going to try growing my tomatoes in 5 gallon food grade buckets, so I can move them around to get more sunlight. If anyone can score me some free buckets, let me know, k?
Check the bakery section of your local Walmart. They get the frostings and donut glazes in 5 gallon buckets. I'm told that normally they chuck them instead of washing or recycling them. So, for a bit of elbow grease, you can get them for nothing!
Or... do what I did and just buy them at Walmart. Their 5 gallon buckets are food grade (or rather.. .food safe).
