Brig is going to be making these MONSTER COOKIES today. The recipe makes 18 HUGE cookies. I'll just have to enjoy smelling them as the cookie scent wafts in the house...

September 20th...
Got some distressed frames for cheap!
Lauren Face Timed all of us as a Family and we sang Happy Birthday to Mila before she had her cake and pressies. She was looking mighty tired, but adorable. They took her to the Zoo. Nick put in for leave in October for 10 days. Hoping we get to see them. Missing my daughter, son-in-law, and grand daughter!!! — feeling hopeful.

herbs and produce...
Thanks to Sharon Jackson for the wonderful
smelling herbs and flowers for the chicken coop!
smelling herbs and flowers for the chicken coop!
I paid $5 and got about $25 worth of a variety of herbs and flowers
I cut up to sprinkle in the nesting box and around the coop.
It smells great, relaxes the hens, and wards off flies. Awesome!

Can't wait for tonight's Produce Auction! Although....I might NOT find what I am looking for: Onions, Green Beans, Zucchini (all to slice and freeze), possibly Figs (to make a wonderful vinaigrette), and a Pumpkin (for the chickens to nibble on the inside). We shall see what is available.

books, knitting and chicken cards...
My friend, Nancy loaned me the second book from Call the Midwife series:
'Shadows of the Workhouse' by Jennifer Worth.
I haven't started reading it yet, but will start tonight.
I am also knitting a hat for Nancy-
'Cloudy Day' by Never Not Knitting.

September 15th...
So, last night I was walking downstairs in the dark and face planted the floor,
knocking the wind out of me, banging up my left side. I swear it felt like I was pushed,
but nobody else was there, so I said it must have been a ghost! James heard me and
frantically came running to see if I was ok.

Today...I plan to stay in bed and take it easy.
I finished knitting this...
